Class style Adolfo II hat most likely madre in the 1960s were primarily produced for a ready to wear bridge line of church hats or mod style. Original designer is Adolfo designed this model in 1963 and they were produced into late 1960s. This specific hat was produced somewhere between 1963-1966 by the Award Hat Co. The body of THIS hat which is felt was made in West Germany (Martelle marking) while the hat was finished in the United States. The rarity of the era for the \"Adolfo II New York Paris\" labels are highly sought after. The style with feathers are definitely more desired and more collectible. \"Union Made\" indicates that the product was manufactured in the United States or Canada by union workers. The early union ensured fair wages, benefits and worked in safe conditions. It also indicated that the garment or item was assembled with high quality craftmanship, durability and attention to detail. These were unique and not mass produced. The presence of a union tag on a vintage Adolfo II hat confirms its authenticity as a mid-century American made product often sold in high end department stores like Sakd Fifth Ave. This hat is in EXCELLENT like new condition and seems to have been barely worn. Very solid construction and quite iconic. Due to its age of being 60-63 years old, it is a piece of iconic history.
